What options exist when a holder needs to move USDC from a payment account into a traditional bank without additional intermediaries?

Tangem said on Oct. 13, 2026 that USDC held in Tangem Pay can now be paid out as US dollars to a US bank account. NFA.

The feature supports USDC on Polygon, Base and Arbitrum. Tangem described the payouts as available for users who select the bank transfer option inside the app.

Recipient Choices

Tangem stated that users can direct payouts to their own account, to another person’s account or to a business. Each transfer requires the receiving bank to be located in the United States. The recipient’s address can be anywhere in the world.

Availability appears in the app based on the country where the Tangem Pay account was verified. The option displays only where the service is offered.

Transfer Methods and Confirmation

Users select either ACH or FedWire for each payout. Tangem noted that every payout receives confirmation through a tap of the user’s Tangem hardware card.

The steps begin when a holder opens the Withdraw section, chooses bank transfer, enters the amount and recipient details, then reviews and sends the request. Tangem presented these actions as part of the standard flow in the help center documentation.

Wallet Connections

Holders can also move USDC or USDT from Tangem Pay back to their Tangem Wallet. Tangem described the Tangem Wallet as remaining non-custodial while Tangem Pay functions as a separate payment account inside the same application.

The update keeps the two accounts distinct. Funds in Tangem Pay follow the payout rails described above, while the wallet side retains its separate non-custodial structure.

Practical Scope

The announcement centers on the mechanics of moving USDC into bank accounts. Tangem provided details on the supported networks, recipient flexibility, rail choices and hardware confirmation requirement. The help center material adds information on the United States bank requirement and verification-based availability.

Holders who verified their Tangem Pay account in a supported country see the bank transfer path when they open the Withdraw section. The process ends with the tap confirmation on the hardware card.

Tangem positioned the feature as an addition to existing options that already allow movement of funds between Tangem Pay and the Tangem Wallet. The Oct. 13, 2026 post on X outlined the core payout capability, while the help center pages supplied the operational steps and limits on bank location.
